Inspired by music at the early age of 5, listening to his Uncle "Sunny" play the guitar, sparked a passion for music in Damien Simmons. Damien was later introduced to Hip Hop when he was 10 years old, listening to legendary rap artists such as: Bones, Thugs, & Harmony, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and many others during that time inspired him, at that instant Damien knew that Hip Hop was his true calling.



At 16, Damien wrote his first rap verse with his cousin Hip Hop Artist Shake LaBomba,  thus spawning his alter ego "SayLaVee." The two cousins collaborated and formed a rap group named "Knights of the Round Table", group members included BlankFace, Grin Caesar, Shake LaBomba , and himself. The group produced several mixtapes over the years.



With these experiences and goals obtained, SayLaVee still found himself on a journey,  a journey to grow and expand his musical talent. Admiring greats like: Dr. Dre, Alchemist, Timbaland, Just Blaze, and Kanye West; he knew that producing his own tracks was his next step. SayLaVee also produced tracks for many local artists.



Over the years Damien "SayLaVee" Simmons has experienced a great deal of success, learned new and valuable things, and have connected with other talented people who share the same goals, visions, and passion for the betterment of music.



"Still Moving Forward"...In early 2012, close friend J Reel and SayLaVee formed a partnership and created the Duo Production Team "The Art'Sonists". Their mission is to become two of the most sought after producers in the music industry.
